Ohio requires the following for reciprocal licensure:
- Active licensure in good standing in another state or jurisdiction
- A National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) Certificate.
The Ohio Board will accept Certificates granted through alternative education pathways.
Applicants must contact NCARB to have their Certificate transmitted to the Board and complete the application for registration by reciprocity, which is done online at https://elicense.ohio.gov. Once the Certificate and the Ohio application are received, the license is issued within two to three business days.
Reciprocal applicants should also read the Firm Registration requirements.
